Capturing Peter and Erin’s July 4th engagement session was nothing short of amazing, but getting to be a part of their wedding at Amelia Island made it even more spectacular.
Erin chose Amelia Island for the ceremony and reception due to the significance it holds in her life. Her long family history of lighthouse keeping on the island caused the Amelia Island Lighthouse to be named after them. That very lighthouse began guiding ships in 1838, even before Florida earned statehood.
To begin the day, Peter, his groomsmen and family golfed while the weather held up. It rained before the ceremony during the bridal photos, but we believe the beauty of the day still shone.
Peter and Erin who met as co-workers were joined together at the Amelia Island Plantation Church with an intimate reception at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. In between the ceremony and reception, we got to be apart of capturing the family—Peter, Erin and Erin’s son, Cameron—for the first time. A big thank you to Cameron for reminding us how fun it is to be a kid.
Though it poured during the reception, we were lucky to capture the couple beneath a rainbow to end the evening.
Peter & Erin – Thank you for allowing us to take part not only in your engagement celebrating, but also your incredible wedding and intimate reception. We had a wonderful time getting to know your families and spending the long weekend with them!
